An interesting coming of age story that goes full circle. The “happy” ending still arrives but it takes so many unexpected turns. Of course expectations are made by Pip once he begins to move up in station but then looses them again when things are revealed he wasn’t expecting. One good yet “bad” deed is the beginning of so many unexpected things that links everything together. It’s a small world and Pip guides you through his life. I only recently picked this one up ... really enjoyed it. Harry Potter fans may find the similarities between Pip and Harry quite interesting,
