My 7 year old Thomas just loves the story of the Headless Horseman, so this book was sure to please. We both liked the illustrations which are plentiful and colorful. We also were glad to see that in this particular retelling of Washington Irving's classic tale of the ghost who rides under the light of a full moon, seeking his lost head, that people die! That's right, move over white-washed Disney versions where no one gets hurt, this one ends in a death. AND, the villain MARRIES the damsel! My
