I enjoy all of VC Andrews's books; all of them. This one is no different. Baby Celeste is a teenager now, discovered by a foster family taking her in at 17 years of age. At 18, she receives her family fortune. Ami, her foster mother, is more like a sister to Celeste. Ami's family, the Emerson's, have a lot of secrets that takes awhile for Celeste to discover.
I do recommend that Celeste & Black Cat be read before Child of Darkness so you can follow the complete family line. ...more
