THIS SERIES CLEARLY WAS MY FAVORITE BY FAR. I WAS REALLY THINKING THAT LAURA WAS ALIVE ALL OF THIS TIME IN THE MENTAL INSTITUTION. TO SEE JUST HOW FAR OLIVA WENT WAS DOWN RIGHT CRUEL. I FELT SHE HAD NO RIGHT TO TRY AND CONTROLL EVERYONES LIVES THE WAY SHE DID. AT THE END OF THIS BOOK I FELT LIKE IT HAD AN EARLY CONCLUSION OF HOW MELODY AND CARRIE WHERE GOING TO LIVE THERE LIVES. I FELT THAT THE "LOGAN"SERIES WAS BROUGHT TO AN EARLY END. BUT I GUESS IT MADE ROOM FOR "LAURAS" STORY AS WELL AS OLIV ...more

This is a re-read, but it’s been so long I’d forgotten most of it so it was almost like reading it for the first time. I just remembered a few of the twists and overall plot. I’d forgotten the details of Melody’s adventure in California, as well as what happens when she returns to Provincetown.

There’s a lot of death in this one. The heartbreaking truth about Laura is also revealed and even though I remembered it, it still felt like a sucker punch while reading.

Well...mmmm, what can I say. I enjoyed the book solely for the scenery and sub characters.
As for Melody, ya know the sweetest gal who would do just about anything for anyone? well I wanted to slap her an awful lot!
Nobody can be so naive and stupid that many hours in a day. As for her selflessness attributes, I couldn’t find them, she just did what most of us half decent women would do If we had the mental and physical strength of a flea! and when your chauffeur is sad speaking of his deceased ...more
