Oh wow. Well I just flew through this. I can't not give it 5 stars because it kept me hooked and horrified at every turn. The ending had me gasping, for something that was SO obvious and critical to the Dollanganger novels, it didn't even occur to me until I read it at the last page.

But now as a new year starts I'm going to try and read all five books of the original series back to back. I've never done this before and might need therapy after I've finished.

I gave this book 4 stars out of 5. The reason I chose to do this because I loved that we get to find out how Olivia Foxworth became the way she is. There were still some questions that I felt were not answered.. Like Olivia becoming bald. I know they joke in some of the books that her hair was pulled back too tight. I also loved that we see more compassion from her in this book.
