What Members Thought

I read the book half way. Dont get me wrong the begining was good but then it began to drag and became predictable. I figured what was the point because once you start to read on it becomes a little boring and you can eventually figure out the rest but also when you get into flowers in the attic your already know the reason behind olivia being so cold hearted whether you read this book entirely or not...at least in my opinion..flowers in the attic movie btw was excellent!!!

This final book in the series certainly did the Dollanganger series justice. Olivia as protagonist forced the me to see her point-of-view, and though i dont see justification for her actions towards Alicia, Chris Sr and Corrine or the kids, i could see why she felt the way she did.Definitely an entertaining, gripping and captivating novel. one of my favourites.

This book actually made me feel sorry for Olivia. She tried so hard to please Malcolm but it never worked out. I can't blame her for how she acts in Flowers in the attic. So much tragedy and misfortune has fallen upon her. She must take care of a child that is not hers but pretend that it is. She must cope with the fact that her husband only married her because she was efficient and the complete opposite of his floozy mother.
