This one is a re-read for me and while I haven't read this since college, I retained a good bit. Crystal was always my favorite of the Orphans.
While orphanages didn't exist like described in this time period, I still thought this was an enjoyable read. I thought Karl and Thelma were really interesting characters and also liked Crystal's new friends, Bernie and Ashley.
