Unlike the first book, I probably haven’t read this one since high school so I didn’t remember it as well, minus the twist with Kenneth and Haille.
I’d forgotten or neglected to see what a badass Melody Logan is becoming when it comes to calling out her family on their crap—especially Olivia. Holly is a refreshing, though somewhat out there, new character. Sara also manages to grow more of a backbone than she had in previous books.
