This book was pure 90s soap opera. Evil twin, wicked stepmother, illicit affairs, dark family secrets explosive court case it had it all and is so far the most entertaining of the Landry series. It begins shortly where the last book left off. Ruby settled into her old life in the bayou raising baby Pearl. Except for the absence of Grandmere Catherine and the baby it's a lot like Ruby.
