I found this book very slow at the beginning and as such it wasn’t a book that I raced through. As the story progressed it improved. The sad thing about this book is that it follows similar themes as past VC Andrews books so as you read on you can predict what will happen. There were a few twists later in the book that I hadn’t worked out. These twists kept me reading to the end. Still a good read, but not anywhere near the standard of The Flowers in the Attic Series.
