Audio reread. The final chapter devastated me just as much as the first time around, maybe even moreso, because with age I can understand Cathy’s feelings more. As a teenager I found the last chapter a little dramatic, but this time around it is perfect. I’ve never read/listened to something so bittersweet in my life. Cathy was at Helen from Jane Eyre level gothic surrender. Got me right in my black little heart.
