The book was painfully boring. Neiderman (ghostwriter) had the audacity to change a MAJOR part of V.C. Andrew's plot in her FITA series. I am rolling my eyes at Neiderman and his outright disrespect for V.C. Andrews at this point. There will never be another Virginia Andrews. He will always be inferior, and I hope it makes him cry. It's just never okay to change someone else's story line. ...more

Okay, that was painful. I mean, the first one was amazing; this was meh to say the least. Kane's character constantly grinded me and Kristin became tiresome. The only parts I even remotely liked were Christopher's Diary entries. It's a shame because I loved book one, but now I can't say I'll bother about book 3 anytime soon. ...more

I liked this book, however, I thought the first one was better. Although I was compelled to read both Christopher Diaries in the hope of uncovering new information about the Dollanganger children which only occurred at the end of the second book and was fairly predictable, I actually became interested in the life of the teenage girl, Kristin who was the main character in the book.

Was creepy and weird and I feel like a part of my teen years has been violated. Too many plot holes and way too many inconsistencies. The ending was the worst as it basically makes all the events in the original series pointless. I tried to see it as fan fiction, but no real fan would write this way, we grew to love and care for those four children. The ghostwriter showed in this book that he doesn't get it. The Dollangangers and V.C. Andrews are just a way for him to make money even if it means ...more

Definitely did not see what happened at the end coming at all. Not sure how Ms. Andrews would feel about this. I like this series and will not miss the book. The ending was definitely a cliffhanger.
