I admit I wanted to see just how the ghostwriter would pull this off. To bring a long dead character back to life again. Sadly he didn't. The boy or poisoned boy as he's called throughout the book makes few appearances in this book. Mostly about Clara Sue whining about missing her brother and parents. As someone who recently went through some tough times and losses I tried to empathize with her, but Clara Sue fell flat. Would've liked to have heard more from William. This book just made no sense

I was really disappointed in this book. I was hoping to learn just a little more about Cory, however this story revolved around Clara Sue and how she coped with losing loved ones in her immediate family which impacted on how she reacted when Cory moved into her family.
We saw Clara Sue grow in maturIty as the story progressed which was positive. Had this not been a V.C. Andrews book with the promise of learning more about Cory and/or the Dollanganger children this would have been an average read ...more

was a good book was hoping to find out more like what happened to him . was he able to walk eventually. did his family eventually find each other, did Clara sue end up having sex with her bow. did they ever find out Cory was his real name . alot of answered questions. will there be another book to answer this questions??? would like to have learned more was disappointed
