Chloe Benjamin weaves a story of the Gold family and what happens after a gypsy predicts the dates of death for each sibling. The sections about Simon and Clara were most interesting and poignant for me, although the chapters devoted to Daniel and Varia brought resolutions. Overall, a very well done audio performance as well.
It's a page-turner. From two parents, the lives of four siblings, each unique in temperament, personality, beliefs, and character unfold as we follow their trajectories. Are their futures foretold? Are their destinies preordained? Are they living self-fulfilling prophecies? In the end, it's really
