Disclaimer: I've long been a fan of the movie, so I went into the novel expecting to love it and knowing the vast majority of the plot. That being said, Anne Rice did not disappoint.

I'll preface this review as a book that I really enjoyed, but found myself getting a little bogged down in the pacing. And, sadly, with watching the movie first, I was looking out for major differences and only finding bits of them here and there. Very well written and full of areas to dissect and discuss, I just left reading it around the halfway mark because I knew it would take me forever to get to my destination when I know the spot already.
