The Raven Boys starts and ends like a surprisingly good movie; the opening is a little hokey and kind of makes you giggle, then the end shocks you and makes you angry that you have to wait for another one. I loved every minute of this book. The characters are complex and keep evolving as the story progresses. Instead of an info dump, the plot is given to you in small plates, like lunch at a tapas restaurant. The scenery is beautiful and never takes over the narrative. I smiled my way through the

4.5 really. it didnt seem as if Blue pinned over Gansey as other reviewers said. i still think its less of a kiss than a stolen one before he goes into a dangerous situation but ill find out in the next two books
