OMG! I don't know where to begin to explain my love of this story. A re-telling of A Thousand and One Nights and I didn't even know I needed it. The gentle romance between Shazi and Khalid is hearbreakingly sweet- with emphasis on heartbreak. I admit that I guessed about the curse (though I thought Ava had placed it upon Khalid) but I couldn't guess the details. I found myself wondering why he married those he had killed or why not take them from the streets- girls no one would miss.
