This book is EVERYTHING. Everything I could have wanted. Getting to read a new Cinda Williams Chima book every year has become an annual treat for me since 2007, kind of like Halloween and pumpkin spice lattes. Her writing style is one of my absolute favorites; she has a gift for making things come alive, for fleshing out characters, for writing awesome action scenes.

After being disappointed with the incomplete feel of book four in this series, I was thrilled with the conclusion. I give it a strong 4.7 out of 5 stars.
There were three different groups working behind the scenes of all the attacks, murders, and incidents that happened in book four. They all came to a head in one amazing battle - on several fronts. If you love Jack Swift (from The Warrior Heir) as much as I do, you'll be happy to see him in fine form helping to stem the flow of evil wizards. But ...more

LOVED IT! I hope, oh I hope Ms. Chima writes another Heir Chronicles novel. Her books always has a great plot hot and clever characters and lots of action and some romance, just what I like.
