[close] Every time this author, Rachel Van Dyken, comes out with a new book, I think, "Man, this is my new favorite book!!" This one was no different. I was given an advanced readers copy (ARC) for this book and it had me on an emotional roller coaster the whole time. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys happy endings to a great story!

My song for Wes&Kiersten If I Lose Myself

Oh wow. I'm just torn up. In a good way if that's possible. From the highest of highs and the giddy swoons to sobbing mess. Reading this was like you get this foreboding feeling while reading but you can't let go and you just can't stop loving these two people. For me the story was so heartfelt, poignant, moving and beautiful, it had hope while carrying something deeper.

I think I'll need loads of chocolate after this, I needed Kleenex ru 4.5 Ruined stars

Oh wow. I'm just torn up. In a good way if that's possible. From the highest of highs and the giddy swoons to sobbing mess. Reading this was like you get this foreboding feeling while reading but you can't let go and you just can't stop loving these two people. For me the story was so heartfelt, poignant, moving and beautiful, it had hope while carrying something deeper.

I think I'll need loads of chocolate after this, I needed Kleenex runs in between it was hard to maintain a dry eye either from swooning or just heart break. Seriously I loved Kiersten and Wes these two right away just it hits you hard even not really one of those insta things but just somehow these kindred souls so to speak found each other as cheesy as that sounds. Plus their dialogue and banter was fun at the same time it held meaning.

Wes you are just special, I adore you and your heart. You kill me most of my ugly cry is just in his POV. Ok not solely his but his moments with Kiersten just ugh I had to stop at one point. They were just in their own world that they get and understand. Kiersten was awesome too she was strong when she needed to be and brave in facing things head on she might need a nudge but still. She has heart and she reacted better to everything than most people wouldve. Together Wes and Kiersten were just two people somewhat fractured by life but still magical and heart warming, I just melt into goo. Yes I still cant stop.

Cant imagine at their age having gone through all that, I can relate in a way to the loss. At any rate I think it affects everyone differently and I think to Wes and Kiersten it brought about different feelings. Maybe fear of not living and to the best that you can. Letting that fear of dying make you learn things fast forward and to appreciate what it is that you have.

Before I forget I have to mention Lisa and Gabe, friends who became so much of a support and relief in the story. I do wish Gabe has a book too by the way, boy needs some happy too. (Rachel, if youre by any chance reading this). I think Id love to have friends like these two, Im the type who has a few really close friends that a whole lot so I do feel the importance of finding friends who really stick by you. I loved that their was also the friendship aspects in it that made it whole.

I need to stop gushing over Wes. Im totally won over. Sometimes reputations and hearsay arent all that there is to a person. I think sometimes we need to take it with a grain of salt and judge well but sometimes we also need to look deeper even past the physical (but hello eight pack) too. More than that I like the side of him that believed in small miracles. I do think that things do happen for a reason not all the reasons we expect or understand at first.

I definitely loved this one and I'll be coming back to it in the future. Rachel Van Dyken thank you for writing this, I haven't been introduced to your other books but will check it out. You capture feelings and emotions, to me it created a sentiment without being over bearing. This is a must read.
