Charming hero/heroine embrace a true marriage of convenience that blossoms into a sweet love match despite a host of personal insecurities, character faults, circumstantial obstacles and misunderstandings. Hilarious at times, with a riotous cast of secondary characters that make this a novel a delightful homage to the humor, psychological insight, and romance of Georgette Heyer.

This enjoyable historical romance is a marriage of convenience story. Lord Nevinstoke is a young viscount who leads a live in pursuit of shallow pleasures. When his father suddenly dies, he finds that he has inherited a huge amount of debt. He turns to a manufacturing heiress that he previously met, and asks her to be his wife.

Lovely, engaging marriage of convenience tale that has very aptly been called Heyer with sex scenes. This is definitely a book with a strong voice. If you enjoy Lerner's voice, then I think you'll love the book. ...more
