What a fun book! I liked that, rather than being an anthology with three separate stories, the three authors of this book worked three stories into a single cohesive novel...and did it well! The characters were well drawn, and the details were sprinkled in to add wonderful historical flavor (rather than lumped in to show how much an author knows about the period).

Understanding the concept behind the book, I expected a little bit of discontinuity between the three parts. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like these were three separate, well crafted stories. Rather, it seemed like the authors created a single house party, and a cast of characters large enough so that they don't get too involved in each other's sub-story.
