Fun short stories, though I didn't like Quinn's much, but loved Mia Ryan's the most, with her damaged hero who can't speak correctly and the girl who he tries to woo but thinks he's a pompous ass. Very cute! Separate stories with appearances of main characters in each, unlike her next collection of Whistledown.

An entertaining anthology. Four parallel novellas take place during the Great London Frost Fair of 1814. The linkage between stories is clever in that each of the couples attends the same performance of The Merchant of Venice at the Drury Lane Theater, the same ice skating party on the frozen Thames river, and at a Valentine's Day ball. The Julia Quinn novella 'Thirty-Six Valentines' was the most satisfying.
