This was just as wonderful as The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever, which I adored - such a lovely addition to the series. I do suggest reading the other books first however, simply because I think you'll get a lot more out of the 'flash back' scenes - which add an extra bit of inside humor.

I can't make up my mind about this book. I ended up going with 3 stars, but I feel like there were some 4 and 5 star parts mixed in.
I'm familiar with Julia Quinn mainly from the Bridgerton series, and it feels like she's tried to capture the same easy humor of that series, but doesn't quite hit the mark. I just read my friend Esmee's review and completely agree with her assessment on this.
