What Members Thought
My first Quinn book, purchased on a whim. It's Quinn at her finest: good plot movement and good utilization--instead of over-reliance upon--dialogue. Her "rakes" are rarely such (just saying it doesn't make it true!), and "Mr. Siddons" is a terribly likeable character. Come to think of it, so are all the primary characters, which is probably why it's so enjoyable. The heroine is witty, devoted to her family (without playing the martyr), and thankfully not TSTL.
