If you asked me about this book in person, I would alternately shrug and sigh. I just can't really say more than that. It's funny because I was worried about this book, just because I had no sense of Francesca. The other Bridgertons, I know them, Colin's even my fictional soulmate, but Francesca was unknown. And then, that made sense in this book and was beautifully carried.

I gave this a 3 out of 5 for a few reasons, mainly I HATED the Ending. I felt left adrift. One minute the Hero, Michael is sick and then the next Francesca and him are married and there's a random letter from Johns Mother in the epilogue. What the heck?! I was also annoyed by the two, Michael and Francesca, denying their feelings because of Francesca's marriage to John and then with in a chapter that's forgotten and they are doing it like rabbits. Possibly my favorite of the Bridgerton books and definitely the hottest. All those who think that the affirmative consent rules on college campuses will suck all the sexiness out of hooking up need only read Chapter 17 to see how it's done right. ...more
