First of all love the Bridgerton series!!every sibling's story is different and they have their own personality...
ok now i am writing the comments as reading along,,
I love Michael but do agree with others that francesca is annoying,, am halfway through the book and michael can't seem to be man enough to express himself and frannie is being the naive chit....(rolling eyes)now after such a sensual night even more dumb,she does'nt behave like other bridgertons at all...

This was near the top for me in this series, but for different reasons. While there was a lot that made me laugh in the other books I found this one heart wrenching at times. I'm not sure I've read another historical romance where the heroine was really in love with her first spouse. Usually there was some abuse or infidelity that made the first spouse pale in comparison to the hero. There was also the fact that our hero knew from the beginning that he loved the heroine and that was heartbreakin

My favorite Julia Quinn book. She just doesn't write like this anymore. Perfect tortured hero and the heroine is a young widow.
