What a wonderful story. Cinderella theme. Sophie is the illegitimate daughter of an earl. He has supported her in his household but has virtually ignored her. The Bridgerton stories are my comfort blank and this one was no exception. A retelling of the Cinderella story, humorous, poignant and entertaining. A perfect afternoon of escapism with good triumphing over evil and love over coming all obstacles.

just like cinderella story..
A bit closer to four stars in writing but I'm binge reading and although I liked better than book 2, this book was stand up "Cinderella" and therefore closer to 2 stars.
