4ish stars. I'll admit I almost put this down as the book GREATLY slowed in the country and I started to really get annoyed at the story. Why stay there for so long? I'm not exactly sure why I was so disappointed. I was annoyed that Leopold would consider Lisette and felt that his wishy-washy-ness at the end with his decision was a cop out. This is now my favorite Eloisa James book. Beautifully written, funny, with characters that really resonate. The h/h are just perfect together, but I love all the secondary characters, too. They're drawn with so much emotional accuracy - it's amazing. Eloisa James is amazing!

What a great book to end the series with. I have enjoyed reading about Villers in the other desperate duchess series books and am so glad he finally got his own book. This is a wonderful book and I highly reccommed it. This book can be read without reading the others in the series although I highly reccommend that you read the others first to how Villars got to this point.
