The part that I loved most about this captivating book is how the author managed to tell the story in between the past and the present. It begins with the past in 1785 in Paris, France. The future is in Paris, France as well but it’s the 21 century. All the questions that are raised throughout the present are answered with the past and vice-versa. I have had a morbid fascination with vampires since I was a little girl (who hasn't?). I enjoy reading various vampire authors and I look forward to seeing how they develop their characters. I enjoyed reading about Rhys and Viviane. I enjoyed the story and how it flipped back and forth between 1785 and present day. I really enjoyed this book. I loved how we where taken back and forth from past to present, so we got to know the story of what happened back in 1978.
