This book was a quick read, and I enjoyed the story overall. I didn't like it as much as other books by the author though.
The biggest problems that I had with it was that it was repetive in parts, and not much was going on in this story. I also didn't buy that Alex would just accept that Katie was hiding out from her husband and do nothing about it, and was ok with her using a fake id.
I did find the growing romance between Katie and Alex very sweet, and I liked how kind she was to his children. ...more

Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks was the first book that I ever got signed by him. I remember very well standing in line for hours waiting for the moment that I would meet the author that melts the hearts of every reader. When Safe Haven first came out, I read the novel very quickly, only stopping to work and handle motherly duties. If I haven't said it before I'm saying it now. Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors. I can't get enough of his books. I absolutely love Safe Haven. Now I can't wait to see how it looks as a movie.
