Good as the first, if not better!

I made the mistake of actually reading some of the other summaries for the books to come and such and kind of had this hunch that Niefect(I'm not quite sure how to spell her name) was going to betray Zoey. I have to admit that I enjoyed this book better than the First House Of Night novel. The first book was good don't get me wrong, but I just really enjoyed the second much better. I wasn't sure if I would like this series in the beginning, but now I am actually putting it on my favorites list.

I definately like the way Zoey is always keeping us up to date on what she is thinking. Zoey is only at the House of Night for a short time, but she is already far more advanced with her powers than the oth I have to admit that I enjoyed this book better than the First House Of Night novel. The first book was good don't get me wrong, but I just really enjoyed the second much better. I wasn't sure if I would like this series in the beginning, but now I am actually putting it on my favorites list.

I definately like the way Zoey is always keeping us up to date on what she is thinking. Zoey is only at the House of Night for a short time, but she is already far more advanced with her powers than the other fledglings. There were a lot of interesting things that happened in this story. Zoey has her hands full with 3 different types of guys: Her childhood friend and ex-boyfriend Health, the alluring poet,sexy adult Vampyre Laureate Loren, and the handsome,charming Erik. Although Heath is the one she imprints with, I don't think he is the one for her. It was nice to see that Zoey was able to pull off her first Dark Daughters Ritual and become accepted by all her peers. I felt sorry for Zoey when her best friend Stevie Rae died. This really put her over the edge and made her start to realize how she needed to put things into perspective.

I especially enjoyed the ending of the book when Zoey not only finds her ex-boyfriend Heath but she also gets to briefly visit her best friend Stevie Rae. It was interesting to find out that Detective Marx has a twin sister who changed as well. It was a different twist in the story to see someone on the outside of the House of Night wanting to help Zoey rather than lecture her about life. Nefret thought she could erase Zoey's memory of the whole incident, but the power of the elements brings Zoey back her memory and she seems stronger and more confident. What a great ending to the story when Nefret tells Zoey she better not speak against her, and Zoey tells her it is not over between them. I am really looking forward to seeing where this goes!!

I can't wait to dive into the third House of Night novel and see where Zoey, Heath, Erik, Loren, Damien, Shaunee, Erin, and hopefully Stevie Rae, the mysterious Nefret and the ever powerful Nyx take us to next. I hope it is every much a page turner as this one was. =) ...more

Betrayed was just wow! Simply Amazing as the first. For page one I was hooked. This book picks up where Marked left off and I feel got even better. Zoey is not the leader of the Dark Daughters and Sons. She has a lot to handle getting ready for her first ritual.
