I loved it! Lara Adrain delivers yet again! She changed her writing style a bit in Deeper Than Midnight. You get different point of views and I really enjoyed that. I've been a big fan of Chase since Midnight Awakening and in Deeper than Midnight you get a sub-plot with Chase. I've waited a long time for his story and I am super excited for Darker After Midnight.

Here we are, 9 books in and we finally get Hunter’s story. Hunter is a Breed male created to be a warrior for the evil Dragos. Where do I start? This one was dedicated to Hunter with bouts of under lying stories from Chase, Dragos and other member of the house hold.
And I think that's why I like this series. Everyone is involved, including the woman. Everyone has a part, a say.
Hunter takes it upon himself to escort a Breedmate, Corinne (one that was recused), back home to her family in Detroit. In a series of events that take them from Detroit to New Orleans then to Georgia, Hunter Begins to become more "human". I say ...more

This was a very entertaining book!! I abso love Hunter and Chase and for them to be the major and minor plot in the book had me very psyched.
Hunter--what a great character. To have been born and bred to be the most terrifying assasin that Dragos has produced, he is also very compassionate. I loved the way his and Corinne's story started out. The visions he had, the undeniable attraction, the instant feeling of a love bond were all great. What really sped it up and slowed it down for me ...more
