This was a very quick and entertaining read for me. I started this book on a Friday night around 6:00 and finished it about 10.45 the same night. I was really intrigued by the story line. The main character is Lena. She's your average teen with a few issues. She is unavoidably drawn to the sea. So much so that she even walks in her sleep to the ocean. I've always had a fascination with marine wildlife and mythological creatures that may lurk in the oceans off the coast. Living near the Atlantic, I've even pretended to be the elusive mermaid in my youth. I enjoyed reading L.K. Madigan's mermaid tale and I look forward to reading future tales of Lena, if and when her story continues. I would recommend this book to those interested in reading about magical tales of the mer-people. I also love this cover! ...more
