I was so afraid to start reading this book. Truth be told, The Infernal Devices is my favorite of the two series, although I still hold a lot of love for The Mortal Instruments. Something about the Victorian setting or Tessa, who I can relate to more than Clary, grabbed me from the first word. The first thing you should know is that you will have many, many questions answered in this book. Some of those questions carry over to TMI and then some bounce ***SPOILER FREE IF YOU'VE READ THE SERIES***

I was so afraid to start reading this book. Truth be told, The Infernal Devices is my favorite of the two series, although I still hold a lot of love for The Mortal Instruments. Something about the Victorian setting or Tessa, who I can relate to more than Clary, grabbed me from the first word. The first thing you should know is that you will have many, many questions answered in this book. Some of those questions carry over to TMI and then some bounce back again and won't be entirely answered until City of Heavenly Fire is released. (Those questions aren't integral to the story, so you can still read one series without having to read the other.) There was intense action and suspense, and I was so pleased at how much the women in this book stepped up and fought, both physically and emotionally. There were so many difficult situations and decisions that I'm not exactly sure how it all fit in to one final book, but it did, and brilliantly so. There were some incredibly touching scenes involving Magnus, who I felt like we got to know a lot better in this book. I loved the romances of some the side characters combined with the dry sense of humor that has defined this series. I laughed out loud just as many times as I reached for the tissue.

There will be some that won't be happy with the ending. The epilogue, which Clare already revealed pre-publication begins in 2008, seems to take place after the events of City of Heavenly Fire are resolved. I found that interesting since, of course, that book won't be released until 2014. The way the two series puzzle piece together is fascinating and it's almost as if we got an ending to both series, but without really knowing what happens. It was very cleverly done. Am I happy with the ending? Yes, I am. So many questions were answered and I felt that, as a reader, I got to see everyone's ending, for better or for worse. There were certainly parts that were profoundly sad, but I found it to be more of a deeply poignant sadness rather than a 'WHY, GOD, WHY??' type of sadness, if that makes sense. In any event, I am sad to say goodbye to the London Institute and I didn't realize how attached I had become to everyone until I read the very last page.

Αισθάνομαι ότι είναι ανούσιο να γράψω κάτι γι'αυτό το βιβλίο καθώς ότι και να πω δεν θα αντικατοπτρίζει πλήρως τα συναισθήματα μου.Το σίγουρο είναι πάντως ότι θα παραμείνει για πάντα στη καρδιά μου ως ένα από τα καλύτερα βιβλία που έχω διαβάσει ποτέ!
Ειλικρινά δεν ξέρω από που να ξεκινήσω!Όλα σε αυτή τη σειρά από τα πιο ασήμαντα έως τα πιο σημαντικά μου φάνηκαν υπέροχα.Πάνω απ'όλα λάτρεψα τους χαρακτήρες και το πόσο καλά τους ανέπτυξε η Cassandra Clare ώστε αισθανόμουν ότι τους ήξερα από καιρό. Όσο για την υπόθεση η Cassandra Clare με άφησε για μια ακόμη φορά άναυδη.Είναι πραγματικά εντυπωσιακό με πόσες λεπτομέρειες παρουσιάζει το Λονδίνο του 19ου αιώνα σαν όντως να έχει ζήσει εκεί.Χαίρομαι επίσης που δεν κατάφερα για πρώτη φορά να μην προβλέψω έστω και λίγο το τέλος ούτε ποια ήταν η πραγματική ταυτότητα της Τέσσα.Ότι και να σκέφτηκα αυτό που τελικά συνέβη ξεπέρασε τα όρια της φαντασίας μου και δεν θα μπορούσα με τίποτα να φανταστώ κάτι καλύτερο!
Σίγουρα ένα θέμα που απασχόλησε όλους τους αναγνώστες της σειράς ήταν το ερωτικό τρίγωνο ανάμεσα στην Τέσσα τον Γουίλ και τον Τζεμ και ποιόν τελικά θα διαλέξει.Αν ρωτάτε εμένα εξ αρχής μια επιλογή έβλεπα αυτή που και τελικά έγινε αν και σε αυτό το βιβλίο νομίζω πως διχάστηκα απίστευτα ανάμεσα σε αυτούς τους δύο!
Ίσως ακουστεί υπερβολικό αυτό που θα πω αλλά ειλικρινά το συγκεκριμένο βιβλίο μου θύμισε ξανά μετά από πολύ καιρό για ποιο λόγο λατρεύω το διάβασμα.Εύχομαι στο μέλλον να πέσουν στα χέρια μου και άλλα τέτοια που θα με κάνουν να σκεφτώ πολλά και θα με γεμίσουν ελπίδα και αισιοδοξία!

Υ.Γ Τώρα πάλι συγκινούμαι που τα γράφω αυτά δεν το πιστεύω ότι η δαιμονικές μηχανές τελείωσαν!

I am in tears. It's over! The Infernal Devices is over and it was sooo good! But the good news is, I can start The Mortal Instruments series and it is longer. I just loved this book, it was perfect! I just feel so happy and sad at the same time. But the plot was amazing and I just loved everyone! There were some deaths that made me cry and some made me happy! But it was all good. I love how Cassandra Clare ended it. I just can't stop saying how amazing it was. The characters were great too. I lo ...more

My heart is whole and broken at once. Tears of sadness, loss, love, and joy, were cried throughout. Knowing it was not possible to have all the the things I wished for these beloved characters to come true, by the Angel, the end could not have been more beautiful. Bloody damned phenomenal.

E sto quasi piangendo, perchè io questo libro volevo amarlo.
Sia chiaro CP2 mi è piaciuto, ma non nel mondo in cui speravo :S
