Let me start with my usual line- "I loved it!". Gosh, the book is really well written with a lot of suspense and excitement that thrilled me to keep reading on. I had my doubts about Sebastian from the beginning and my love towards Isabelle grew a lot more in this book. I really felt like hugging her when she gave Clary a piece of her mind though she was wrong in a few places. But still. I actually felt like shouting, "Go girl!" *Grinning*

City of Glass is a book that I had been meaning to buy for a long time but always too many other books to read first. My mum never knows what books to buy me due to thinking I would already have them but this year, she let me pick the books I wanted for Christmas and this was right at the top of the list. Once I had started reading it, I couldn’t put it down and ended up still being awake at 4am to finish it.

Clary must go the city of glass in Alicante, the birth place of the ShadowHunters, to find the spell book that contains the spell the wake up her mother from the coma. Lightwoods agreed to take her and protect her while in the city but Jace does not agree. For her own protection he lies to her and arranges a way to leave sooner telling everybody that she had changed her mind in joining. However, an attack happens in the institute with Simon there. Having no chose Jace takes Simon into Alicante.
