I thought Lover Mine started a little slow, but in every other way this book excelled some of the preceding books in the series. The back story revealed here was compelling and added a lot of depth. And the secondary romantic relationship between Qhuinn and Blay was scorching and so angst-ridden it made me hurt. (Please tell me the next book is *theirs*!) John Matthew's character was redeemed and then some for me and both he and Xhex became much more compelling and three-dimensional in this book

Holy Crap!!! What a great book! It has lived up to the hype. John Matthew is what a Brother should be. We were aware of his story and it has been a long journey posted through the previous books in the series. John had over come a lot in his life, he has a heart of gold an innocence that can not compare to the rest of the brothers.

i loved it

Those who know me are probably already aware of my complete obsession with JR Ward and The Black Dagger Brotherhood. Kick-ass vampires, huge Alpha males, tough & intelligent heroines… what’s not to love, right?
