There really aren't enough words to describe the way this installment of the BDB series has made me feel.

This was such a beautiful story. A story about emptiness and heartache and the ability to overcome and move on. I know this book has a different feel than the other brothers' but it works! I felt that so many questions were answered for me. The reveals were fabulous. There are still many questions that I have, but I know that those will be the meat and potatoes for future books! LOL

This is my favourite book in this series. It is about John Matthew, Xhex, Lash, Darius, Tohrment and Payne. I cannot wait for the next and am hoping that Blay and Qhuinn will finally get together??!!

We were aware of his story and it has been a long journey posted through the previous books in the series. John had over come a lot in his life, he has a heart of gold an innocence that can not compare to the rest of the brothers.

We were aware of his story and it has been a long journey posted through the previous books in the series. John had over come a lot in his life, he has a heart of gold an innocence that can not compare to the rest of the brothers.

The women that he loves, and returns his feelings, is missing. He can do nothing but eat, sleep and breathe her. He fears that she is dead, but he will not give up on finding her. The impossible happens, he finds her alive.

Xhex is strong, a fighter, we learn a lot about her in this book and what she has been through. Her story is heart warming. In the previous books she almost seems cold, but this book changes that. Once she escapes the sociopath Lash she is on death’s door step but John Matthew shows up and saves her. She knows she in love with him but she tries to keep her distance for fear of hurting him.

During their journey together they realize they are more alike then they ever thought, which brings them closer to the love they are trying to avoid, and may I say it leads to some great hot, steamy sex. (which is always a plus!)

I also loved Blay and Qhuinn’s story and their attraction. I was surprised by the direction of the book, and I look forward to reading more about them in the future. I was not expecting Qhuinn to have such a strong reaction to Blay’s relationship to Saxton. I knew he must have felt something, but I was not expecting that. I can not wait to read more.

I also liked the Daruis(John) and Torhment connection. I was glad they found a way back to each other and I am sure that Torhment’s book will be interesting to say the least.

There are just so many great things about this book, it’s difficult to pick a few thinks to talk about. Lash who is a horrible person/beast, whatever you want to call him, was a great bad guy, who still loved in his own sick twisted way.
John and Xhex are a great couple who have an interesting story and chemistry Lover Mine is a great read, I was sad when I finished the book.

I liked the book a lot. Firstly, because John Matthew has been one of my favorite characthers in series, secondly, because the story itself was well written.

I was really glad, that Darius' diary was part of the book and when the little girls was born, then I already realized who it was and what it lead up to. I liked the way writer brought the main story and Darius' diary together at the end of the book.

Those who know me are probably already aware of my complete obsession with JR Ward and The Black Dagger Brotherhood. Kick-ass vampires, huge Alpha males, tough & intelligent heroines… what’s not to love, right? But what I have come to appreciate from a writer’s standpoint is how brilliant these books are constructed.

Briefly, the series revolves around the members of The Black Dagger Brotherhood, a group of warrior vampires charged with protecting their race against the evil slayers called the L Those who know me are probably already aware of my complete obsession with JR Ward and The Black Dagger Brotherhood. Kick-ass vampires, huge Alpha males, tough & intelligent heroines… what’s not to love, right? But what I have come to appreciate from a writer’s standpoint is how brilliant these books are constructed.

Briefly, the series revolves around the members of The Black Dagger Brotherhood, a group of warrior vampires charged with protecting their race against the evil slayers called the Lessers. Each book revolves around a different member of the brotherhood. While it is possible to read the books out of order, I strongly recommend taking them in order. The first book does a lot of setting up the world, but stick with it. By books two and three you will be hooked.

Lover Mine focuses on John Matthew and Xhex. (I’m not giving any of the plot away, so forgive me for speaking in more general terms.) In the previous book, Xhex was captured by the evil, Lash. Lover Mine tells the story of Xhex’s kidnapping and the fallout for both her and John Matthew. It also explains John Matthew’s “Darius history,” and why he is so drawn to Xhex. What makes their love story so cool is that Xhex is every bit a warrior as John Matthew. The fight scenes where they both don their leathers and go into battle side-by-side are amazing. Even though Xhex is as tough as any of the Brothers, Ward never lets you forget that she is a woman. Because of this, she might possibly be my favorite female character in the series.

In the previous BDB books, John Matthew and Xhex have played prominent roles, which have opened up many questions about their histories. Lover Mine satisfies all of those questions by tying up a web of plotlines. These plotlines, all told in multiple points of view that show exactly how genius Ward is as a writer. This world she has created truly feels like a real parallel universe. The characters go on living after the last page of the book. I don’t know of another series which is able to do this so well. Ward also has perfect timing. She is able to keep the reader poised on the edge of their seat. Each chapter seems to end on a cliffhanger, and you just have to keep reading. If it wasn’t so fun, it would truly be maddening!

I can’t recommend this series enough. Men would like it as much as women! And Lover Mine was worth my waiting for.

I loved this book. It was really good to see the flash backs and I loved that everything came full circle for JM and Xhex. I did want to smack Qhuinn in the back of the head for being a selfish, closet-loving freak, though.

This series by the WARDen is so much more than I expected. I didn't want to read any other books. I loved the story of JM and Xhex as well as Zadist and Bella! I am looking forward to the Qhuay interaction. I think it was very hard for Qhuinn to admit what he feels. What will happen with Layla so interesting! I think the scribe virgin who ain't no virgin is getting ready to have a really hard existence with no one left on the other side. I have to find out when the next book will be out. ...more

Do I even have to say how absolutely amazing this was. Butch maybe my Hellren, and Z's book I have re-vamped alone about 5 times, this BOOK... was simply AMAZING. I cannot wait to re-vamp it.

The story, the history... and the lead up to what could possibly be in the future. Its just AMAZING.
