When Grace was a young girl, she was dragged off her tyre swing in her garden by a pack of wolves. As they descended upon her, Grace just lay there, not understanding what was happening. She lay there, not panicking or moving at all, just staring at the wolf with the big yellow eyes, the wolf that saved her.
Now 17, Grace still hasn't forgotten about her yellow eyed wolf. In fact, she even feeds him, sits waiting for him to appear and listens to the howls as she lays in bed. Grace knows that her ...more

One of the best books I've read this year. I actually think I'd place it at the top of the list. The problem is I love books too much :)
I was a big fan of the fact that the story was very real to me. The way the wolves hold onto many of their instincts when not wolves added to the integration of that 'real' feel, not just a fantasy feel.
The love was believable and endearing, and I got the sense of belonging to this other world of the wolves...

WOW!
I wasn’t sure how I would like the alternating narration, but WOW! Maggie has discovered such an awesome way to tell a story; so out of the box that I just can't wait to read "Linger"! Wow, so glad I finally picked this book up. I read this in a day, and it's 400 pages, so I obviously was really wrapped up in it. The story is about Sam who is a werewolf when the weather is cold, and Grace who was saved by Sam as a young girl and now he watches over her. It's an amazing book. One thing that makes it great is it's written in both Sam and Grace's 1st person point of view, so you always know how these characters are feeling about each other. This is an absolute must read!
