Grace is a 17 yr old junior at her local high school. She lives with parents whom are a bit hippy and do their own thing for the most part. Living in the MN woods, at a young age Grace was attacked by the wolves and saved by a yellow eyed wolf with whom she felt attached too. Through the years she and wolf spend time watching each other. Grace watching from her home or back yard and the yellow eyed wolf from the woods. Both feel protective of each other.

WOW. This is the best book I have read in a long time. I was in tears. I loved the lessons of unconditional love, taking time to feel and takein all the smells around you. the Rilke poetry, the song lyrics, the candy store in Duluth and Sam. I will remember this one for a long time. What a treasure.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. I signed up to read it with 1-ARC-Tours because I had heard wonderful things about it. I have read plenty of vampire paranormals but never really liked the werewolf angle, but decided to give it a shot due to the wonderful reviews. I am so glad I did. There is so much more to this book than the paranormal angle. It covers the female teen experience with friends and boys well, the first love aspect is sweet and touching and the history given behind Sam ...more

The story of a young girl obssessed with one of the wolves in the forest behind her house, Shiver is a beautiful love story and a new take on werewolves. Full of angst and longing, Sam and Grace's relationship is insanely complicated, but has what I consider the right ended. The side characters were just as well developed as Sam and Grace, leaving me jittery with anticipation of the next book in the series. I can't wait to see what happens to everyone. ...more

Words can't even describe how good this book is. It is definitely on my top 10 all time favorite books. Maggie puts a new spin on werewolves in this series and takes something that is one thought to be monstrous to be something mysterious and beautiful. The tension between Sam and Grace is beautiful as is Maggie's writing. Their love story is heartbreaking and inspiring all at one. I highly recommend this series! ...more

This book was nothing if not awesome. It is a truly romantic love story in the style of Romeo and Juliet: two young people never meant to be together, but defy the odds - and werewolves - to find a solution. The author ignores many stereotypes and makes the wolves her own, and the ending is spectacular. I recommend this book to everyone!

It dragged in a few spots and it was very much written for high school age. Interesting take on werewolves. Glad that I finally got a chance to read it.
