This book left me with a bereft feeling. Overall I loved the thrilling series, but I wish there could have been slightly more hope at the end. Maybe that would have been too unrealistic, though. I love Suzanne Collins' tight writing style--every word moved the story forward. Her characterization was touching and poignant. The action/suspense was top-rate though the romance wasn't quite as compelling, in my opinion. I look forward to resuming Real Life now that the grip of this intense series has

I've been waiting to read this book since the day it came out. It's been sitting on my shelf since August. I've been avoiding every little mention of Mockingjay. This last book was probably my favorite. The last half had me on the edge of my seat, bawling my eyes out and unable to put the book down. Collins is a fabulous writer and she had me guessing all the way to the last page. I love how she included a bit of what the future holds for Katniss at the end. (I personally would love t

I cant believe that it is the last book, if only the series could go on forever! ...more
