This book left me with a bereft feeling. Overall I loved the thrilling series, but I wish there could have been slightly more hope at the end. Maybe that would have been too unrealistic, though. I love Suzanne Collins' tight writing style--every word moved the story forward. Her characterization was touching and poignant. The action/suspense was top-rate though the romance wasn't quite as compelling, in my opinion. I look forward to resuming Real Life now that the grip of this intense series has

W O W. Haven't seen any of it coming. It twisted in every direction and then finally took the best imaginable course. I hated it most of the time for being so unfair and sad but that's the way things are isn't it? Although the end had a ray of hope, not bright or anything but it promised a new, kind of peaceful life to the new race of humans in that world. And maybe this time it'll work out.

I've been waiting to read this book since the day it came out. It's been sitting on my shelf since August. I've been avoiding every little mention of Mockingjay. I've not read any reviews for fear of finding out how it ended. My husband even read the book before me but I made him swear that he would not give me one little hint on what was in this book. So when I went on vacation last week I took it with me. I started reading it on the drive to the beach. I told my husband and kids not to bother

The final book in the Hunger Games trilogy. Again packed with excitement that left me wanting more. I think the book did a very good job of reflecting the horror of war and that good people don't always get what they want and bad people don't always come to a bad end. For the opening pages of the book I was so deep into the story I was sucked in to seeing it like a movie in my head, just as with some of my most favorite books. Sadly the use of the names for a couple of characters, Pollux and Cas

I always get sad at the end of a series that I really like. Part of me just wants it to go on and on. I want to know what is going to happen to the characters after the final curtain. So, it was with a heavy heart that I finished Mockingjay, the last book in the Hunger Games Trilogy.
While I really liked this book because I was so invested in the series, I had a few problems with it. Let’s start with what I liked.

Fan.Tastic! This may be the BEST series I've ever read! I love my Twilight Saga of course and my Sookies but they never kept me awake at night the way the Hunger Games did. This last book was probably my favorite. The last half had me on the edge of my seat, bawling my eyes out and unable to put the book down. Collins is a fabulous writer and she had me guessing all the way to the last page. I love how she included a bit of what the future holds for Katniss at the end. (I personally would love t

Mockingjay was the perfect ending to this trilogy. It was amazing!!! I loved everything about this book, especially Peeta's character yet again. I already can't wait to re-read this series.

WAOW. I knew this was going to be good, but not THAT good! I couldn't stop reading! There was non stop action, and by the end, I was balling my eyes out! The last few pages of the book are soaked with tears
I cant believe that it is the last book, if only the series could go on forever! ...more
