Mockingjay broke my heart. It was a beautiful way to end the series. I couldn't have imagined it done better.

Mockingjay was an extraordinary end to a series. I absolutely loved it! It was completely unpredictable to me because nothing that I thought would happen did. I had no idea where Suzanne Collins was going to take Katniss in this book, which made it all the more exciting to read.
When I first received my copy of Mockingjay in the mail, I was literally shaking because I was so excited to read it! I immediately started to read it the moment it was in my hands, and I could not put it down for anythin ...more

I sit here completely stunned, I cannot remember when I last read a series that made me think so much about life and dead and everything in between.
It really made me think about how our world is and how we treat our self and other people.
Many books has touched me but not as much as this, this book touched something deep inside of me.
I actually feel a little lost like Katniss does some places in the book and I mean that in a good way.

The Games have ended and turned into a larger arena where everyone is a player. And Katniss Everdeen is more than a player now - she's hailed as the rebel's image of hope, the Mockingjay. Just like in every war, there are a lot of casualities, sacrifices to be made, politics and powerplay, and truths that everyone need to accept. Feelings are raw, emotions are high, and stakes are larger than the last two books.

After the show stopping rescue of Katniss Everdeen from the arena of the Quarter Quell, the world has been waiting to see what's next for her. Katniss never wanted any part in a rebellion against The Capitol, but here she is...their Mockingjay! The problem? The Capitol still has Peeta. How will Katniss be able to save Panem and Peeta while also ensuring her own family is safe?

I was left wanting more! I felt that the character development in this book was rushed and I didn't care for what happened in Peeta! He was made into a "monster" who wanted to kill Katniss! I didnt like this because i love the Peeta who was warm and caring and protective of her! It just wasnt the same! I felt the deaths of Finnick and Prim was rushed and we did not get to mourn them like they deserved! Ugh!

Incredible way to end the series. Although the ending left me wanting more so much. I felt like I lost my friend when I was done. I will give it a few weeks and re-read all 3 books. Katniss showed us that she is an empowered female that does what needs to be done. Through all that she has been through, she maintains her standards and fights on. I loved them!

"But there are worse games to play." First, thats just an awesome last line.Second,I almost resent that this series has to end.But end it has and what an ending!I love this book, this series!
