I've been wanting to start with this series for ages. And now I'm just so glad that I finally did.
I heard a lot of good stuff about it but didn't expect anything like this. The world Suzanne Collins had created has fascinated me in a different way than any other book I've ever read. It's too different, too similiar to our world in the same time.

I wasn't sure when I picked the book up that I would like it, but I was WRONG. I love it. I was hooked by the second chapter. Suzanne Collins created a futuristic world that is hard and gritty, but not without heart. A lot of heart. The heart lies with the characters. Katniss's devotion to Prim and Peeta's devotion to Katniss is so touching and heartwarming. The other characters Suzanne Collins created were very memorable too, Rue especially. A few times tears came to my eyes. The Hunger Games i

Have I been bitten by this book? Can someone give me a HELL YES! From the first glimpse of Katniss, I was hooked. Ensnared so tightly that I had no choice but to finish the book right now! No matter what. And then when I reached the part that said," Ladies and Gentlemen, let the Seventy-fourth Hunger Games begin" my heart raced all the way through.
This book was how can I say.....breath taking. I have not read a book that has "WOW"ed me. And this book did. They very thought of a game played so vi ...more

My hubby ran out and purchased this book for me Sunday night. I spent most of yesterday and today reading, when I should have been writing and cleaning my house. I couldn't put the book down.
Not only is Suzanne Collins and expert at weaving words together, she's a fabulous storyteller. The world she created along with the horrifying Hunger Games, was dark, and twisted and utterly brilliant. Action packed, with a high body count and a burgeoning romance, Hunger Games doesn't disappoint. I've alre ...more

First off I have to say that when I first started reading this book I stopped at page 52 because I got extremely bored. I could only literally read one page in a sitting and even then I had to force myself to finish it. So the after a year of it sitting in my ever-growing "currently reading" pile, I picked it back up and had to force myself to put it down. I even stayed up until 4:30am to finish it. It was a great read. I can't wait to dive into Catching Fire.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is one of the most talked about books this year and deservedly so, it is awesome. So they’ve made it into a film, but before you watch the film, I urge you to read the book. The book is always better than the film, right. And this one is no exception.
The Hunger Games is set in the future in post-apocalyptic North America and is about a girl name Katniss who takes the place of her little sister for her District in the 74th Hunger Games. Each year each District ...more
