OK, after a few days to think about it- I changed my rating.

OK I will try to keep this spoiler free- since I know a few people on my friends list haven't read the book.

BD was a roller coaster of emotions. I loved the way TS described it on TM's -
I was shocked, delighted, humored, touched, angered, horrified, grossed out, intrigued, amazed, relieved, and HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!! ----- that about sums it up.

Was it my favorite of the series- nope. It is probably my least favorite, but that is because I

I'm going to be leaving a spoiler free review as I have friends who haven't yet read this. I will say that this is my least favorite of the books. I felt a lack of connection that I've felt w/ the others. I felt the voices w/ the characters were a little different and there was too many characters added for the last book in the series. I had a hard time keeping track of who was who.

I did like that three books made up the book, with Jacob's voice being heard. I did like that Bella finally stopped

Synopsis:

When you loved the one who was killing you, it left you no options. How could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life was all you had to give, how could you not give it? If it was someone you truly loved?
To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection

I spent my summer anticipating this book- I love the romance of the Twilight Trilogy (I still maintain that it's truly a Trilogy) and I got Breaking Dawn and I was vastly disappointed.

My livejournal friend Minisinoo said it best when she said "It's an attempt (a bad attempt) at anthro-SF. Ironically, Romance is one of the most unforgiving of genres, when it comes to conventions. Break the conventions and Romance readers hate you (and genre Romance publisher know it too)."

You don't switch genres.

Ah, such torn feelings about this book. I was very disappointed to see the vampire canon changed at this late date... it took a lot of the focus off of Bella and Edward's relationship.

I was happy to see so much of vampire Bella, though, that was one thing I was really hoping for, and I wasn't disappointed. It seemed to me that Bella seemed a little bit flat in this book - I also would like to have seen a little more of her internal reflection about her new family; didn't she

I loved the last 1/4 of the book, but the first part was harder for me to read than the other three in the series. I loved that the other part vampire/human child was a Mapuche from Chile, I met many of their tribe on my mission.

Difficult for me the first time through (the weekend it came out.) Re-vamped in Dec. 08, and LOVED it.

This book was amazing.. I cried, I laughed, I got angry and I got happy.. I loved it and it was one of the best from the series. I know some people might get freaked out about it,, but I really loved it and I didn't want it to end.. I should've taken my time to make it last longer but oh well.. I'll read it over and over like I did with the first three. ...more

Enjoyable. Doesn't have the YA feel of the first three, but ties up ends well. The first book is still my favorite in the series, but I love the knock-out cover with its symbolism. Little Brown has done a beautiful job with the covers in this series.

I originally read this when it came out in 2008. I don't think I have read it since. I still maintain that Bella is pretty selfish and that Jacob Black is stupid. I wish that Meyer would publish something else (besides a gender reversal of Twilight). ...more

There was a lot I liked and didn't like. The theme shifted, so I was a little frustrated with some of the choices the author made. I liked seeing B&E mature into adults, but too many tangents. ...more

I loved this book...SM did a great job ending this series. Reading this was like driving blind folded. I had no idea where the story was going to take me. Absolutely Thrilling!
