Another amaaaaaaaaaaaazing Vampire story !

Here's what I thought..
Characters: I think all the characters' names, attitudes, personalities and everything about them were unique and they pretty much resemble everything I'd think they'd be like. Gabrielle and Lucan are good names. Their not common, but they are not uncommon either. They work perfectly for this book!
Settings: I loved that they had their own "lab". Or pretty much something LIKE a lab. The "scenery" is practically perfect too. They had a park, apartments, a lab with a hideaway ...more

As far as adult vampire romance novels/stories goes, this one is much like the rest. Dark, erotic, and dangerous, this first book in the Midnight Breed Series is as much as I expected, but overall I enjoyed it. The characters were intriguing as well as the plot. In addition to the passion and sensuality, there is suspense as the story unfolds.

I probably will not continue with this series. It’s simply too high on the erotic scale and not enough on the girl being all kick-ass. She does have a power, but it’s not really enough to compensate for the fact that she basically allows Lucan to date rape her and doesn’t even have a problem with it. So no, I would not recommend this. It’s also too dark of a read on it’s own without the whole dream sex thing.
