What Members Thought

I think this is the 3rd time that I have read this book. I can still only say that I liked it. I was able to pick up on Mr. Bennet's humor a little more this time. I have watched the newest movie a couple times too, and it was nice to have a face in mind as I was reading, but it is not a big deal. I have all of Jane Austen's books and will eventually get through them all.

I read this in high school and loved it. I am reading it again as an adult, and while I liked the romance part of it, I really thought the writing to be a lot to muddle through. I know this how proper english is SUPPOSED to be spoken, but goodness me, I think I'd rather just get down to it instead of using a lot of flowery words. I guess as I've gotten older, I'm less impressed with that style of writing.

I know this is literary blasphemy but i actually find Jane Austen a bit dry. I much prefer the BBC 90's adaptation.
