I needed a Sports romance for a challenge and had this on my TBR for ages. I was quite conflicted about this, written in the 90's it was a bit dated and with both the two main characters, Dan the hero with his macho BS and the heroine flashy Phoebe hiding childhood issues neither were particularly likeable. But S E Phillips managed to combine their fiery romance, NFL issues (which I am clueless about) and a deranged killer quite skilfully, so it ended up being not a bad read at all.

I thought this was adorable. Very quick read. I hated Bert and how he destroyed both of his daughter's self-esteems so I guess it was good he was dead from the beginning of the book! I want to continue on with this series for sure. This is my first book by SEP, but I'm sure it won't be my last. I really like the way she writes. She's got a little humor, some snark, and a whole lotta sexual chemistry! ...more

Quite good sports romance, the heroine was a bit annoying though. Liked her scenes with her sister, and Pooh. Kept me reading even though it wasnt amazing.
