If you have been following the thought experiment of re-wilding, you'll love this book. As a falconer and therefore a big fan of predators with a deep interest in how they interact with their environments, I found myself enthralled. I didn't learn much that I hadn't read elsewhere, but I loved gathering all the stories that backed up the hypothesis that an ecosystem crumbles from the top down in the absence of primary carnivores.
