Anyone who talked to me while I was reading this book will no doubt be surprised by the five star rating. I threatened one star many times and had more than a few mental fights with Tolstoy along the way. I wanted to throw the book across the room and perhaps push Anna under that train myself about 100 pages earlier than Tolstoy did but I still recognize that it is a work of genius and I'm glad I read it. I'm also glad it's over.
This book should really be read slowly, much more slowly than I did ...more
