I really LOVED this heroine. She was so unapologetically neither good nor evil but just herself looking out for Number One that I couldn't help but be charmed!! I know that most of my goodreads friends didn't like her abd her mercenary outlook on life but I found her so HUMAN in her reactions. Hence the five stars. This is by far my favorite of the IAD Series.
The H/H really, REALLY go on a journey, a true evolution of CHARACTER.
The sexual tension is off the charts, the dynamic between the two a true exchange of power.
In all honesty, this book represents the TRUE nature of BDSM in a lot of ways. It doesn't get all sorts of kinky, don't get me wrong, but the way captive turns into captor, the way Rydstrom finds his dark side when he's able to render such a powerful woman like Sabine totally powerless, is ...more
